  • THIRTEENTH OF A SERIES of Christmas Ornaments. The Bartlett Covered bridge spans the Saco River on U.S. Route 302 just east of Bartlett Village, New Hampshire. Built in 1851, this bridge is 164'6" long with a clear span of 145'0" and is of the Paddleford Truss constructions style. The bridge was closed to traffic in 1939. In 1966 the bridge was sold to private individuals who built a gift and antique shop in the bridge. The gift shop is still open today. NH Bridge Number & Historic Facts. New Hampshire Bridge Number 50. In the 1950's, it was used to store snow fence. It is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
